Obituary of Siebrand Knol

Knol, Siebrand of Port Burwell passed away suddenly at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, April 26, 2024, in his 87th year. Father of Hendrick Knol (Michelle Quehl) of Kitchener, Theresa Knol (David Duke) of Aylmer, and Lisa Reasbeck (Andy) of Byng Inlet. Grandfather of Addison (Emily), Miranda, Kerstine, Kaylee (Devon), Owen (Monique), and Hayden (Emily); Great-grandfather of Rogue and Liam. Predeceased by his ex-wife and friend Ann Knol (Van Dijk) of Aylmer. Best friend to Rondo the dog, and friend to many others. Born in Warffum, The Netherlands on October 28, 1937, son of the late Hendrik and Siepke Knol, and brother of the late Anne Knol (late Helena Knol-van Der Schuur).

Siebrand immigrated to Canada in the early 60s, and worked as a dairy farm hand, at the Carnation plant, and for many years in tobacco and apple orchards. He was known for his stubborn nature and his great outspoken sense of humor. A creature of habit, he found joy in life's simple pleasures and loved to chat and tell stories over coffee. Fishing was his passion. A proud cook, gardener, bird lover, movie watcher, and wooden shoe wearer. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Cremation will take place. The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date. Feel free to share memories or condolences at:
